I was having/am having a bad day. I’m trying really hard to not do what I’ve done of late (which I never used to do) which is let it get me down, go home, flop around and be depressed. I want to do a better job at turning negatives into positives.  

And it just so happens that the universe gave me the sign I needed -  The Gloss picked up my recent story from The Hairpin.  Message received, Universe. Message received.
